Packaging
Crafted With Care
We’ve always been about down-to-earth honesty. And the truth is, not everything that seems recyclable can be recycled. Many aspects of packaging contaminate the stream at recycling facilities, making the entire product unrecyclable. And to us, that’s a shame. We know we have a responsibility to minimize our impact by maintaining recyclability standards. That’s why we’re working to create products with their end of life in mind through:
- Innovating new, reusable formats to give you better alternatives to single-use plastic.
- Offering concentrated formulas that require less water and prolonged container lifespan.
- Durable and refillable products that you can use repeatedly and then recycled.

Now with New Cap
At Mrs. Meyer’s we think there’s a lot you can learn from a load of laundry. For example, the most important step in a successful load is sorting it appropriately. Overlook one dark sock in your light colors and you’re left with gray undies. When we learned that our black plastic closures are more difficult for some recycling sorters to identify we decided it was time for a bold change. We will be phasing out of black plastic and phasing into clear and white plastic on our journey towards enhancing the recyclability of our products. While our pumps are not recyclable yet, our caps can be recycled with our bottles. This is just one step in our garden journey towards more sustainable practices.
Disclaimer: Waste not, want not! On our garden journey towards more sustainable practices, you may receive a product with either color cap as we work through our inventory.
