SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands Authorized Reseller Policy
As you already know, our world of commerce is dynamic. Despite this ever-evolving environment, one thing remains core to SC Johnson and the Lifestyle Brands Division – TRUST. We seek to be the most trusted company, by our consumers, customers, employees, and business partners. One critical aspect of this is how we show up to consumers and your shoppers both in store and online. Relevant, substantiated, and accurate information on packaging and online is critical to establishing and sustaining this trust. As such, we are launching an Authorized Reseller Policy.
SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands is committed to working with our customers to facilitate the sale of SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands products through ecommerce and in-store channels. SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands maintains an Authorized Reseller Policy to protect SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands and intellectual property, as well as authorized channel partners. This policy is also in place to protect end customers, ensuring they receive accurate product information, that meets SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands standards. Finally, the policy works to ensure fair competition among resellers as well as supporting those who have invested in stocking and marketing SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands products and abide by SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands policies and programs. SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands will interpret and enforce this policy at its sole discretion.
Sell on Approved Websites Only
Unless otherwise explicitly authorized in writing by an Employee of SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands after the effective date of this policy, Resellers may only take orders via websites owned and operated by their own company. Selling on third party marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc.), dropship accounts (e.g., Craigslist, Marketplace, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
Maintain Accurate Brand & Product Information
- Maintain proper use of all trademarks
- Leverage provided content*
- Avoid unauthorized claims*
- Sell product only in original packaging
- Do not duplicate or develop different UPCs
Sell Only to End Users
Only resellers purchasing products directly from SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands or an authorized SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands distributor are authorized to resell products in accordance with this policy.
Authorized resellers should not sell SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands products to other resellers. Selling to another reseller, authorized, or not is considered a breach of this policy.
Seller’s transacting SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands products that did not procure the product from SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands directly or an authorized SC Johnson Lifestyle distributor are not authorized to sell SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands products online or use SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands trademarks, copyrights, images or product information. SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands reserves the right to take enforcement action against the seller and supplier of the product in accordance with this policy.
Disclose All Seller Names & Properties
Maintain accurate and up to date company information and disclose all retail locations, web properties, temporary storefronts, and seller names across all channels directly to SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands. Any seller transacting through ecommerce must report all websites and seller names advertising or transacting SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands products via the web form below during the application process and once per calendar year to remain authorized.
Provide Sell-Through Data Upon Request
Upon request, provide sell-through point-of-sale data by UPC and web property if applicable.
Legal Compliance
Resellers acknowledge that they will comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations related to the advertising, sale, and marketing of SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands products, including but not limited to:
- Don't make false or misleading claims or engage in deceptive sales tactics*
- If you email customers, comply with all privacy policy laws
- If you maintain an online presence, you must publish a privacy policy and comply with it
Enforcement
Resellers that fail to comply with any term in this policy will be subject to enforcement actions at SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands discretion including but not limited to:
- Loss, termination or non-renewal of trade and marketing funds from SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands.
- Loss of authorization to sell SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands product.
- Suspension of shipments.
- Permanent termination of Resellers account with SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands.
Resellers may not circumvent any term of this policy through any means. SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands will interpret any violations of this policy in its sole discretion. SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands reserves the right to modify this policy as necessary.
Authorized Reseller Benefits
Resellers that abide by all facets of this policy will be deemed authorized to sell SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands products, provided they maintain constant adherence to the policy. Authorized Resellers understand they do not have any proprietary rights to SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands trademarks or other intellectual property but are authorized to use SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands trademarks, copyrights, images, and product information for the sole purpose of reselling SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands products.
